12/23/2005 Boston Blast Announces New GU17 & GU18 Coaches

BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS – December 23, 2005 - Boston Blast is pleased to annouce new coaches for the GU17 and GU18 teams. 
 
The GU17 team will be coached by Sarah Dacey. Sarah is the head coach of the Babson women's soccer program. Prior to taking over the program at Babson, Sarah served as an assistant women's soccer coach at Boston College, Providence College, and the University of Tennessee.  A 1998 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Sarah was a member of three NCAA Championship teams and an Honable Mention All-American.  While at North Carolina, Sarah was also a two time All-American selection in women's lacrosse playing on two NCAA semi-finalist teams.  Sarah played professional soccer in the WUSA for the Carolina Courage and Boston Breakers.
 
The GU18 team will be coached by Rachel McCarthy. Rachel served three years as the assitant girls soccer coach at Stonehill College.  She is a former All-American at Merrimack College.
 
Sarah and Rachel join Michael La Francesca, coach of the GU15 team and Vito La Francesca coach of the GU13 team.  Michael is the head coach of the Dana Hall girl's soccer team and Vito is the head girl's soccer coach at Beaver Country Day.
